Monday - Traffic was amazingly light and I found a parking space right away - Don was leaving so I took his space under the building. I had forgotten how much one of my coworkers snoozes and whines. When I got home my cats were completely confused about why I was home and decided that they must pin me down by sitting on me. When I went to bed my cats decided that it was time for the "growling" rips.
Tuesday - Traffic was a little heavy due to the miniscule amount of rain. It caused everyone who was already stupid to become even more stupid. I had no trouble finding a parking space. Snoozy day two for coworker. Claims it's due to the sound from the air condtioner in our work space.
Wednesday - TRAFFIC SUCKED. It took me 45 minutes to get to work. Still no trouble with parking. No snoozy coworker - of course no notification that he was out either. I stopped at Outback for a margarita on my way home since Julie Anne and Don were twittering about drinking.
Thursday - Ahhh... The smell of fresh cut grass as I left my apartment. Traffic fairly clear. Parking spots galore. Snoozy coworker present and whining about me teasing him because he's getting old. At one point he snapped awake from his snooze to inform me that his leg was ASLEEP. I wanted to smack him. I had to get gas on my way home so that I wouldn't run out. Dinner at Bonefish - I was craving chicken marsala. I smacked my head in the Bonefish restroom on a coat hook that is at waist level on the back of the restroom stall door.
Friday - Traffic clear and so was parking. Coworker out again. I really wonder why it doesn't occur to him to let us know he's not coming in. SO inconsiderate. At least the day was quiet. Dinner with Don and Julie Anne at Il Fornaio. When I got home I went to get my mail and saw this HUGE slug. I remembered that Julie Anne didn't believe me when I said that there were huge slugs here so I immediately put a quarter next to it and took a picture.
All in all a pretty good week since my schedule changed from nights to days. I was thinking that I would have some quiet days with no one contacting me directly, but apparently they do read the schedule part of my emails.
Some good things about working days:
1. I can ask questions right away instead of having to wait till the next day.
2. The cafeteria has pretty good food for pretty cheap.
3. I can do things in the evening.
4. I can go to the grocery store at a normal hour and not have to deal with the weirdos who go in the middle of the night.
Happy weekend. :)
